We have 3 Immediate openings for professional cleaning technicians who take pride in their work, who have great communication skills with customers and co-workers, and who are eager to learn new technologies in equipment and cleaning systems.

As part of our Residential team, you will be responsible for cleaning for the health and safety of families in the Calgary and surrounding area.

As a cleaning technician, you will receive in-depth training before on-the-job training with your assigned team leader. After your training, you would be given the opportunity to become certified. To gain Certification you would be require to take an exam and obtain at least 80% pass mark.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Cleaning Technicians play the most important role in our company – providing cleaning services to our clients. Under the general direction of the Supervisor, the cleaning technician is responsible for cleaning client homes according to the cleaning specifications for each residence. Cleaning tasks include but are not limited to; trash removal, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, family room, dining room, den/office, utility/laundry room, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming floors, window washing, and other duties as assigned. Knowledge of specialty services such as hard floor care, carpet care, and upholstery cleaning. Understanding of OSHA Safety requirements, SDS labeling, and cleaning chemicals.

EXPERIENCE | EDUCATION:

  • Experience as a cleaning technician can be helpful but is not necessary.
  • Education requirement: High School diploma or equivalent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work days between 8am and 5pm, approximately 30-35 hours per week.
  • The position may require the employee to travel to more than one client location.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS | WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs as necessary.
  • Moderate physical activities, which may include pulling, pushing, lifting, reaching, bending and repetitive movements.
  • Demonstrated skill and proficiency with cleaning equipment.
  • Use of cleaning products, which require the use of protective gloves and eye wear.
  • Safety is of the utmost importance. Cleaning Technicians must work in a way that complies with all safety regulations required by MGOcleans LTD and OSHA.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • The job involves the ability to use independent judgment to make decisions and to recommend and/or implement solutions.
  • The ability to listen and communicate clearly and to maintain positive interpersonal and cooperative relationships with co-workers, clients and management.
  • The ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision.
  • Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm, maintain a sense of humor and to regularly present a well-groomed, professional image.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and maintain storage area and company vehicles in a clean, organized and safe manner.
  • Maintain all equipment and supplies so they are clean and in a safe and operable condition.
  • Ensure proper labeling on all cleaning chemical containers.
  • Ensure proper dilution ratios of cleaning chemicals.
  • Order cleaning supplies as required.
  • Empty all trash cans, replace liners and clean receptacles as needed.
  • Dust horizontal and vertical surfaces throughout the home.
  • Clean kitchen counter tops, sinks, cabinet doors, outsides of appliances.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms including counter tops, sinks, tubs, showers and toilets.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floor surfaces.
  • Greet homeowners in a polite, respectful and helpful manner to ensure positive relationships. Screen and route requests to supervisor if necessary, provide timely and accurate customer service support.
  • Ability to assist in training new employees and giving daily direction and work lists.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
